NCI Charrette System™ Certificate Training – 3 day
Customized Case Study OptionThis core training teaches how to apply the 45 NCI Charrette System™ tools and techniques to your unique areas of practice. Your team will learn the practical NCI Charrette System™ skills, tools and techniques through interactive, hands-on exercises practiced on your handpicked case studies. The first half-day of the training is an executive level NCI Charrette System™ 101 Seminar and has no attendance limit. This is an opportunity to educate project partners and stakeholders as well as your sub consultants and prospective clients. For the rest of the training your team will create project guiding principles, objectives and performance measures, stakeholder analysis, charrette purpose and products, project roadmap, charrette ready plan and charrette schedules for the case studies. Your organization will provide up to four case studies for the course, which is available for in-house courses only. Seminar attendance: unlimited. Maximum attendance: 32.
NCI Charrette Management and Facilitation™ Certificate Training – 1.5 day
This training is an advanced course for serious planning practitioners who are charged with managing charrettes or who may hire a consultant to conduct a charrette. The purpose of this training is to teach the detailed tools and techniques for managing a multiple-day, NCI charrette and the indispensable skills of public meeting planning and facilitation. The training tracks the roles, responsibilities and strategies of the charrette manager throughout a multiple day charrette. Students are provided with a set of invaluable daily task lists for setting up and maintaining the charrette studio and managing the complicated charrette production process. A highlight of the course is the public meeting facilitation role-playing exercise in which students practice their skills at running a dicey public meeting. Maximum attendance: 32. NCI Project Roadmap Consulting – 1.5 day
This concise workshop is designed to get your project on the right track from the beginning. We will educate your project team and partners in the NCI Charrette System™ then take them through a working session to conduct a project assessment and complete a NCI Charrette System™ Project Roadmap. This team planning approach is the best way to assure that your project makes it through the hurdles to implementation. Seminar attendance: unlimited. Maximum workshop attendance: 32.Note: This program begins with the half-day NCI Charrette System 101 Seminar described below. It is an opportunity to educate a broad audience on the NCI Charrette System.
NCI Project Assistance and Charrette Coaching
NCI will work with you throughout your project process, assisting staff in the execution of the stakeholder outreach and engagement activities as well as base data research. NCI can also assist behind-the-scenes to coach and support staff at public meetings and charrettes. Coaching and project asistance is fully customizable.
