This new course is intended for professionals who will be running charrettes. Charrettes are dynamic events with unique challenges. Charrette managers must be quick on their feet and have a large toolbox of processes and skills. This advanced charrette management training will equip charrette managers with the essential tools and techniques required to handle unique, fast paced, and constantly changing, multiple-day charrettes.

Course Content: The purpose of this training is to teach the most effective tools and techniques for managing a multiple-day charrette event. This is an advanced course for serious planning practitioners.

You will learn to:
	Assemble, schedule, and manage a charrette team
	Design and manage a charrette studio including equipment, layout and food
	Facilitate design decision-making during a charrette, including criteria based analysis using OMS (objectives, measures and strategies)
	Manage the production process including information technology
	Manage the press

Instructor:
Bill Lennertz, NCI’s Executive Director, will draw upon his experience from over 150 Charrettes to teach participants the comprehensive Dynamic Planning project management process including team coordination, the design process, stakeholder engagement, and NCI Charrette logistics.


Prerequisite:
There are two prerequisite requirements for all individuals wishing to attend "Advanced Charrette Management."

	Introduction to NCI Dynamic Planning half-day (public or in-house)
	Continuing NCI Dynamic Planning two-day (public or in-house)
